Pacific Aid Map 2024

The Pacific Aid Map

The annual Pacific Aid Map is a comprehensive database tracking official development finance (ODF) flows in the Pacific Islands region. By promoting greater transparency of ODF flows, the Lowy Institute seeks to increase coordination, improve accountability, and strengthen decisionmaking and policy debate on aid, development, and geoeconomic competition in the region.

The seventh edition of the Pacific Aid Map encompasses the period from 2008 to 2022. It includes data on more than 37,000 projects carried out by 97 development partners, totalling almost $50 billion. The research covers 14 states of the Pacific Islands region: Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

The Pacific Aid Map is funded through Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
